Cordobo Green Park 2 Beta 4

Cordobo Green Park 2 Beta 4 Download

Cordobo Green Park 2 (GP2) has reached the Beta status after 8 Alpha revisions. The download is available at my WordPress Themes Page.

Apart from a new header graphic and more appealing forms and buttons, GP2 comes with a lot of code and CSS improvements, to render the website even faster along with typography and SEO optimizations. The Beta needs ~3KB less code on each created page compared to the latest alpha. The new settings page located at the WordPress Admin section, to configure Feedburner, Adsense and Analytics, has been cleaned up although.

  1. Last couple of question regarding update Beta 4:
    If I want to install updates of Greenpark 2 within my current WordPress theme directory (B3) are the changes made to header.php and so on directly lost, can I only change your updated phps in B3 directory or is it a completely new theme directory i have to install for B4?

    With regards!

    • There are no changes to the header.php, only to the CSS, and some content related pages like index.php, single.php and page.php. Functions.php and footer.php had been altered as well.

      I recommend you to upload the latest version to a different folder so you don’t loose anything you’ve changed (if you have no local backup or changed something only on the server via the admin interface).

      But before you do so, please wait another day for Beta 5 ;-)

  2. I’m trying to use a Custom Google Search engine, but there doesn’t seem to be a Search Form. Is that something I’m missing as part of this theme, or is that an oversight?

    • No, GP2 uses the code generated by WordPress for the searchform, the comments list … to support older versions of WordPress as well.

      But you can create a new file called searchform.php and add your code or simply alter the code in the header.php where it calls <?php get_search_form(); ?>

  3. Hi!
    I am brand new to WordPress and love this theme. My only issue is how do I remove the “meta” link section? It’s driving me a little crazy :-)
    Jena

    • Open the sidebar.php and remove the following code:

      <?php if ( is_home() || is_page() ) { ?>
      <li id="meta">
      <div class="sb-title"><?php _e('Meta', 'default'); ?></div>
      <ul>
      <?php wp_register(); ?>
      <li><?php wp_loginout(); ?></li>
      <?php wp_meta(); ?>
      </ul>
      </li>
      <?php } ?>

      Save the file and upload it to your webspace.

  4. I love this theme! I am using it now at my personal blog, with lots of my own design tweaks. I would like my blog to be bilingual English/Spanish. Do you have any localization version for the theme in Spanish? I would do it, but I have not yet figured out how to make one!

  5. Hello Andreas,
    I solved the movie problem myself. I had to put wmode on transparant. Well, rather basic flash issue.
    The grey bar issue should also be solved changing one or two variables in GP2 style.css, but I would love to know which ones to alter and not ruining your beautiful scheme.
    I want to make the grey bar twice as heigh when 3rd level menus exceed more than 2 lines.

    Hopefully you can help me with this last one.

    With regards,
    Menno

  6. Thanks for the great theme! I noticed on my page and yours, Blogroll and Archives disappear from all pages besides home? Is there a reason or a way to carry those over onto ‘pages’ Thanks.
