    Hey Cordobo,

    Also, mache weiter so ;-)

    Hallo Mokari,

ne, das ist irgendwie gescheitert an der deutschen Sprache. Und individuell konnte man leider für Unterforen nicht die Sprache einstellen.

I love your Cordobo green wordpress template!

I want to remove the posting comments, however, from the top of each post and page……this will be a product sales website and I want to remove them from the top just under the titles.

How can I do this? I’m not that familiar with the code.
    Thank you!

  7. Marotta1 wrote on 15 November, 2006 at 9:58 pm | #304

This theme is great! Thank-you. I have been customizing and did find a few bugs however. There is a call to the following image in the stylesheet but no image in the included files. (background: url(images/topentry_bg.png) repeat-x;). I searched but found no call to topentry anywhere in the code. Also sometimes when I go to a single post page the center column merges with the left sidebar/column and the footer. What could cause this?

  8. Cordobo wrote on 16 November, 2006 at 6:45 pm | #305

    @ Joyce:

Sorry, I didn’t get you. Do you want to remove the comments or the “723 comments” from every page?

Maybe you can get what you want by removing

    comments_template();

from the index.php, page.php and single.php files. Or just remove everything from the comments.php - this may fail.

    Best regards,

    Andreas

    @ Marotta1:

The topentry_bg class provides a different background for the very first post on your blog. It’s a feature for version 0.93. You can remove it without any consequences.

Can you provide me with a screenshot of the second bug you mentioned ? I didn’t see recognized it before.

    Best regards,

    Andreas

  9. Marotta1 wrote on 17 November, 2006 at 8:20 am | #306

    Andreas,

Thanks for your reply. Where do you want me to send the screenshots. I took 3 to show you how it affects the whole page. What is your e-mail. You can also look at the blog at http://www.moneytradingforex.com. I’m just setting the blog up now so it’s not looking spectacular yet. That seems to be the only bug. It only seems to happen on a single page after I click on a link from the Homepage of the blog. I use IE6 mostly and don’t know if it could be a plugin possibly causing it .

    Best regards,

    Cooper

I like your themes. Do you do any custom work?

  11. Rob wrote on 18 November, 2006 at 5:35 pm | #308

    Hello Andreas.

I really like your Cordobo Green Park theme and I am using it as well. I only have two issues which you might be able to tell me the solution for.

    http://www.autoenmotorsport.nl/wp/

    1) Posts and image are not properly aligned and husseled.
    2) Forum subjects are not displayed from top of page and I have to scroll down to the bottom of the page.

I installed the latest version of your theme but both versions have the phenomena. I hope you can help to solve these issues for me.

I really would like to use continuing your theme. Thank you very much in advance.

    Rob

  12. Cordobo wrote on 18 November, 2006 at 6:37 pm | #309

    @ Marotta1:

I double-checked your installation with mine in different browsers. I see the merging issue only on your installation.

    @ Nichole:

    I do. Just contact me.
Right Navigation -> Pages -> Impressum (Imprint)
    Customizations are not free.

    @ Rob:

I updated Green Park to Beta 5. The images are automatically aligned on the left side what causes the problems. Open the style.css and go to line 47 (within class “.main p img”). Remove “float: left;” and it’ll be fixed.

The Forum entries look correct to me (aligned left, in IE 6 and Firefox2). Which plugin do you use?

    Best regards,

    Andreas

  13. Rob wrote on 18 November, 2006 at 8:05 pm | #310

    Hi Andreas,

Thank you very much for your quick reply, support and solution concerning the ‘floating’ images!

The forum is working ok, the only thing is that I have to scroll downwards to see the subjects. Not a big issue, it would only be nice if somebody clicks the forum page and see the subjects at once without scrolling.

I use the latest version of RS Discuss (http://www.sargant.com/blog/wordpress-plugins/rs-discuss/). If you have a better option for your themes, I can use that.

Thank you very much again. Because of the looks and flexibility of this three column template, I will continue to use it till the moment it is necessary and I decide to ‘buy’ a personal template. For sure I will then come back to you again.

    Regards,

    Rob

  14. Rob wrote on 18 November, 2006 at 8:11 pm | #311

    Hello again,

Is it allowed to translate the template to Dutch? I do not yet know how to do but if allowed, I will look for information how to do.

Maybe you can use the translation for other themes as well.

    Rob

  15. Marotta1 wrote on 19 November, 2006 at 12:52 am | #312

    Andreas,

Any idea what would cause the merging. I can’t find any problems anywhere. I noticed Rob’s site http://www.autoenmotorsport.nl/wp/ is merging on single post pages also.

    Thanks,

    Cooper

  16. Cordobo wrote on 20 November, 2006 at 1:18 pm | #313

    @ Rob:

I will have a look for your problem with the forums. I hope it’s just a incompatibility and nothing grave.

You are allowed to change the look and feel and whatever you can do, as long as you follow the GPL licence ;) You can do almost everything with this theme, that’s why I used this licence. Including translations. Do you want to provide a dutch translation for the next mayor update to 0.93?

    Best regrads,

    Andreas

    @ Marotta1:
As soon as I have the time today I will have a deeper look, ok ;) We will find a suitable solution for you.

    Best regards,

    Andreas

    Hello Andreas.
First, i would like to thanks you for this exellent theme, it’s exactly what i was searching for. Easy to customise (for a newb like me..), 2 sidebars that work with the wp original widget manager plugin, etc ..
Anyway, i dont have some particular problem’s, but i would like to change something, and after some hour of work, i cant solve this. I will try to explain this with my poor english.
So, in each sidebar, i would like to add a space between each block/plugin, because, for exemple, with my “XBOX Live” plugin, you will see that there is no space between it and the next block/plugin. You can take a look at what i’m saying here : http://mydedibox.homelinux.com/

I hope you will understand me, anyway, thanks again for your work !

  18. Rob wrote on 22 November, 2006 at 6:27 pm | #315

    Andreas,

Thank you for looking in to the forum issue.

Concerning the translation for version 0.93, yes I want to provide the Dutch translation. I think this will be good for my experience.

I don’t know the most efficient way, but please inform me how you want to deal with this. If you want, you can contact me by e-mail.

    Andreas,

I know your using a fluid design but in some version of ie the righ colunm disappeard underneath the main content area. Also for small monitors the content area becomes too small. I’m no CSS or webdesignguru so is there a fix for this like setting a min-width for the main content area.

    cheers,
    Gaj

  21. Marotta1 wrote on 25 November, 2006 at 7:27 pm | #318

    Andreas,

Thank-you for looking into the merging issue. I noticed that the WC3 validator does not like the placement of the closing tags for content, wrapper and container on a single post page. Don’t know if that’s the problem but it seems strange.

I also found a small error in the comments section. The “This post is password protected. Enter the password to view comments.” part of the comments section was lacking a closing slash on the closing tag.

I updated Cordobo Green Park to 0.92 Beta 6 and fixed the overlapping issue/merge in IE6 on single entries and did some little adjustments with the css.

How can I get hierarchical categories to work? The category widget I am using says that children should appear indented if the CSS allows, but I do not know where to look. I am using 0.92 Beta 6.

  28. Marotta1 wrote on 2 December, 2006 at 4:41 am | #325

    Hi Andreas,

I hate to tell you this but there is still a merging issue on single post pages sometimes. I really do appreciate all your hard work though.

Also I noticed in the comments section, “This post is password protected. Enter the password to view comments.” is still missing a closing / on the second tag.

Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help you find the problem.

    Best Regards,

    Marotta1

  29. Cordobo wrote on 2 December, 2006 at 6:27 pm | #326

    Hallo Marotta1,

if you found out the reason for this merging issue, don’t hesitate and tell me. Although I did a rollback to IE6 on my machine, I can’t see/find the issue on my test system.

    Best regards and thanks again,

    Andreas

  30. Cordobo wrote on 2 December, 2006 at 7:52 pm | #327

I fixed the overlapping issue in IE6. The only pages where it occurs were the pages with images.

    Beta 7 is out.

  31. Michael Thornton wrote on 3 December, 2006 at 12:08 am | #328

    Andreas,

Beta 7 fixed 4 out of 5 of the XHTML errors i’ve been experiencing. Here is the only one left:

Error Line 141 column 10: end tag for “ul” which is not finished.

    Regards and thanks,

    Michael

  32. Marotta1 wrote on 3 December, 2006 at 2:49 am | #329

    Andreas,

I am really not trying to be a royal pain in the neck here, but beta 7 was still merging. However, I figured out the problem now. Finally!

What was happening was, depending on which beta version you were running, the coments-nice, comments-nice-bg, and sometimes post input div tags were not being closed on a Single Post page. I think it was in beta 6 and 7. I don’t remember beta 5 now quite honestly.

The problem lies in the Comments section. In Firefox, it worked when you were logged in, but when you were logged out, the footer connected or merged with with the comments section. In IE6, it also worked when logged in, but again merged when logged out. The fix is to move the postinput, comments-nice, and comments-nice-bg closing div tags to below the php line - ?php // if you delete this the sky will fall on your head?

Just place them on top of comments-nice-bg and comments which are already down there in beta 7. Just commets is there in beta 6 I believe. Then it all works! :-)
Sorry I wasn’t able to help you out sooner. It was driving me nuts as I’m sure it was you. lol

    Best regards,

    Cooper (aka Marotta1)

  33. Cordobo wrote on 3 December, 2006 at 3:30 pm | #330

    @ Michael & Marotta1/Cooper:

Thank you for your continued help, I always appreciative it and it’s no pain for me.

The “unfinished” ul is replaced and the last /div tag has left his sweet home direction to the sky ;)
I tested the website with IE6 and FF2.0, logged in, logged out, comments on and comments out, hopefully I did not overlook a fault.

    Best regards,

    Andreas

  34. Michael Thornton wrote on 3 December, 2006 at 4:28 pm | #331

    Andreas,

I have a couple more questions for you. My single post pages have a flicker or disappearing text in IE7. It all turns gray and blends with the background. What could cause that?

Also, how can I center the javascript box I have under the green Currency Rates graphic in the right sidebar? It is lining up with the green graphic/text above it. I want it more to the left centered in the sidebar.

Thanks for any more help you can provide.

Hi Andreas - I love cordobo! I have altered the colors for my own liking (I’ve listed my testsite as the link). I’d like to know two things I can not figure out (and they seem so simple):
    1. which code changes the titles in the sidebar buttons (I want the font smaller)?
    2. You’ve got code for removing borders from pics and I’d like to have borders in my main content (except around smilies) and I can’t seem to make the css respond to everything I’ve tried. Since this is not my css originally, can you help me out there as well.

    Hi Damian,

try to remove the whole css-class “.main p img” from the stylesheet located in
    cordobo_green_park_09/styles/green/style.css

As I’ve seen that all your pics are align = left you can uncomment the part in the class by removing the the lines

“/** If you want the images autoalign on the left side, uncomment this line” and “**/”

The problem is caused by an “bug” in Internet Explorer and I havn’t found a work-around yet. Which version of IE do you use?

    @ dave:

Each new title is within h2 tags and the new language support hasn’t been integrated yet.

Best regards to both of you,

    Andreas

Hi Andreas! I love this theme. I think I have found my happy blogging theme. I’ve changed the colors and I like it’s sleek straightforward design. and widgets are my new love. I have a question about the single.php template. I want a new template to use for pages that is a bit more customized, but not that different really. I want a template that is identical to the single.php but wihtout the date meta and the comments tags. So I copied the single.php, renamed it and took it one step at a time: I removed the date meta, saved it, uploaded it and it worked beautifully. I then removed the comments template tags and the page no longer worked. My content was below the the grey box instead of inside it. Why would this happen? What am I not understanding? And was I as clear as mud. I don’t really want to post it looking the way it did, but if you need to see it I can put it up at my test blog for you to see.
