Update/Upgrade to WP 2.1

Today I updated Cordobo and a couple of websites driven by WordPress with the new WordPress 2.1. #2 of the Anti-Christ-SPAM-PlugIn Akismet was updated as well.

An updated version of 0.92 Beta 11 is available at the themeviewer.

For those of you using 0.93 Beta 4, I’ve updated the sidebar.php

Download new sidebar for Cordobo Green Park 0.94 Beta 4

Rename to sidebar.php and place it in the themes rootfolder.

  1. Just so you know, the sidebar fix works with 0.9.2 Beta as well. I just didn’t feel like changing the theme since this older one worked perfectly well for me.

  2. @ Dennis:

You need to download the WordPress Widgets here:
    http://automattic.com/code/widgets

Upload the unpacked folder to your plugins folder under /wp-content/plugins

Activate the Plugin in your adminspanel in wordpress under Plugins.

In “Presentation” you’ll find a new tab called “Sidebar Widgets”.

there you can choose all the content you want to have to appear on your sidebars (left and right navigation).

    Save it.

    You’re done ;)

    @ Chris:

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll put it into the description.

    Best regards,

    Andreas

  3. WOOT that did it. Thank you very much.

Now a (hoefully) final thing. I was trying to get my blog approved at http://www.blogexplosion.com but I was denied because of the following reason: “Due to some problems with IE and CSS inside frames your blog was not readable. It looks scrambled.” According to several posts here http://forum.blogexplosion.com/showthread.php?t=3082 you have to resize some images. Is it an error in the theme or in my settings or…?

    Thank you again

    /Dennis

  4. I had a similar problem. Under IE7 the latest post either wouldn’t be visible, or would be visible until the user moused over the comments link and then the entire section disappears.

(I have temporarily changed themes but could turn it back on if need be)

  5. Hi,

I’m very impressed with the theme and am keen to use it on my blog.

However when I installed it for a test run I noticed that it didn’t format lists of links consistently – some appeared grey and underlined, some bold and green.

    Here’s a screen shot:

    http://f1fanatic.co.uk/test/cordobaproblem.jpg

Notice in particular the ‘top 50’ list.

I had one other problem. On the right hand sidebar above the ‘archives’ heading I have some kind of PHP error that reads:

WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” at line 1]

These problems aside I think the theme is great and would like to use it on my site.

  6. Hi,

I have amended the colour scheme of this theme to Orange. Hope you don’t mind. I have also added a proper page template as I don’t believe pages should have comments. If the comments are left out of the default template then the footer bar is displayed incorrectly (inside the main content box) – in my testing at least.

All in all a very nice template! :-) Keep up the good work.

Also – please let me know what you think of my changes.

I will make this available to anyone who wants it – of course (under the kind owners consent)

  7. Shann,

have a look at the styles.css

The CSS, XHTML and design is released under the GPL:
    http://www.opensource.org/licenses/gpl-license.php

Now start modifying the theme the way you like it ;)

The theme has been released under the GPL, as long as you leave the credits to the author, you’re free to modify the theme the way you like it ;)

You should upgrade to the latest version of Green Park (0.93 Beta 4, not available at the themeviewer for some issues with the upload over there).

The latest version supports “color schemes”, with an orange style already included ;)

  8. Maybe I’m really dense…but I just downloaded the latest version, and I don’t see any “Options” page or indicator to change the color scheme. Where specifically can I do this? Thanks so much.
