The next release of my Cordobo Green Park theme for WordPress will come with some improvements. Apart from the default lime green you can choose your favorite color scheme on the new options page, e.g. red, blue, gray and orange as well as your preferred language.

Feel free to comment either in English, German or Spanish on the current release 0.92 Beta 10.

  1. Andreas,

Beta 7 fixed 4 out of 5 of the XHTML errors i’ve been experiencing. Here is the only one left:

Error Line 141 column 10: end tag for “ul” which is not finished.

    Regards and thanks,

    Michael

  2. Andreas,

I am really not trying to be a royal pain in the neck here, but beta 7 was still merging. However, I figured out the problem now. Finally!

What was happening was, depending on which beta version you were running, the coments-nice, comments-nice-bg, and sometimes post input div tags were not being closed on a Single Post page. I think it was in beta 6 and 7. I don’t remember beta 5 now quite honestly.

The problem lies in the Comments section. In Firefox, it worked when you were logged in, but when you were logged out, the footer connected or merged with with the comments section. In IE6, it also worked when logged in, but again merged when logged out. The fix is to move the postinput, comments-nice, and comments-nice-bg closing div tags to below the php line – ?php // if you delete this the sky will fall on your head?

Just place them on top of comments-nice-bg and comments which are already down there in beta 7. Just commets is there in beta 6 I believe. Then it all works! :-)

Sorry I wasn’t able to help you out sooner. It was driving me nuts as I’m sure it was you. lol

    Best regards,

    Cooper (aka Marotta1)

  3. @ Michael & Marotta1/Cooper:

Thank you for your continued help, I always appreciative it and it’s no pain for me.

The “unfinished” ul is replaced and the last /div tag has left his sweet home direction to the sky ;)

I tested the website with IE6 and FF2.0, logged in, logged out, comments on and comments out, hopefully I did not overlook a fault.

    Best regards,

    Andreas

  4. Andreas,

Well I downloaded everything and I still get the same error when validating XHTML.

Error Line 141 column 10: end tag for “ul” which is not finished.

    Regards,

    Michael

  5. Michael,

add one item to the Blogroll/Links “Favourite Books” and the xhtml will be valid. I will see if I can fix it somehow by default.

Best regards and thaks for the fast reply,

    Andreas

  6. Andreas,

It all still works, even a day later. lol Logged in, logged out, comments on, comments off, IE, Firefox. I can finally upgrade to IE7 now that all my blog themes work! Better yet I can actually start posting to them.

    ;-)

    Regards,

    Cooper

  7. Andreas,

I have a couple more questions for you. My single post pages have a flicker or disappearing text in IE7. It all turns gray and blends with the background. What could cause that?

Also, how can I center the javascript box I have under the green Currency Rates graphic in the right sidebar? It is lining up with the green graphic/text above it. I want it more to the left centered in the sidebar.

Thanks for any more help you can provide.

    Cooper
