Cordobo Green Park 2 is a simple & elegant light-weight theme for WordPress — the successor of four-year-old « Cordobo Green Park », one of the more popular themes for WordPress. The 2^nd version has been rebuild from scratch and supports WordPress 2.7 and up, Widgets and Twitter.

Green Park 2 uses a set of the most advanced techniques to speed-up serving and reduce server load:

Built-in optimizations for SEO (for humans and search-engines)
Image-sprites for less http-requests
SQL queries are reduced to the absolute minimum
Clean and structured code for accessibility, screen-readers and quick navigation through-out the page
Fast and optimized CSS – faster loading and rendering of the page
A very clean and readable typography

Green Park 2 is an “Alpha Release”

Green Park 2 is an “Alpha Release” and released “as is”. ~~There are still some hard-coded stuff like the logo or the description.~~ You might also encounter problems in Internet Explorer 6 and older browsers (I’ll fix this in a later release). During the testing period it will be free of charge. Check the ToDo list and the requirements.

I am working on a Lifestream based approach on the sidebar. Thus, instead of using the twitter plugin, I am pulling the twitter status directly from the lifestream plugin.

Where is located “1” sidebar? When I add something in “1” sidebar, I can’t see it on the theme

the 1^st sidebar is hidden. Open sidebar.php and change <ul class=”group hidden”> to <ul class=”group”>

I’ll fix it with the next release tomorrow.

Hi,

Thanks for the great theme. I used version before, and upgraded with no problems, except My logo
I replaced your original logo file with my own , but from some reason it doesn’t appear .
I’m not coder , and can’t find where to fix it.
On last version it worked great .

Open style.css and remove /* on line 296 and */ on line 306.
Add /* to line 313 and */ to line 319.

A little fine-tuning with width and height will do the rest.
